During my remote internship at Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions as a Global Channel Marketing Intern, I gained valuable insight into the strategic and analytical side of marketing within a global technology company. This was my first remote internship, which taught me how to adapt to new ways of working and strengthened my communication, organization, and time management skills. Adjusting to a virtual environment required me to be proactive, self-disciplined, and intentional about staying connected with my team.
One of the most impactful parts of my experience was working with a marketing and communications team of more than 80 professionals spread across different regions. Being part of such a large, global team exposed me to the scale and complexity of international marketing operations. I learned how collaboration happens across functions like product marketing, channel strategy, and communications, and how every role contributes to advancing the company’s broader mission. Despite being remote, the team fostered a strong sense of community and inclusion, making it easy to share ideas and ask questions.
Throughout my internship, I supported projects focused on competitive research, content creation, and campaign analysis; all of which helped me understand how marketing connects partners and customers to innovative wireless solutions. These experiences deepened my appreciation for how data-driven insights and creativity work together to drive effective marketing strategies.
Overall, this internship gave me a well-rounded understanding of global marketing and reinforced key professional skills such as adaptability, teamwork, and strategic thinking. It also showed me the importance of clear communication and collaboration, especially when working within a large, diverse team toward a common goal.
